The Journey begins.....Do we really know when it began? For many of us, our first recollections are not of playing in the sandbox when we had only first learned to walk, or even of our first trips from home that our parents worked so hard to make memorable. For most of us, it is only glimpses of moments that seem disconnected from our reality. For me, my first clear images were of my 5th birthday party. Besides my family, I had a couple of friends over to share in the day. Even that is not very clear. I can see flashes of us playing on swings; a birthday cake, a collection of toys that I can't clearly make out. That is the extent to what I remember.
It doesn't become clearer as we get older. It slowly fades away, image by image, until we are only left with a vague recollection of something that we had enjoyed, and nothing more. That is the very reason I decided it was time to put my memories and thoughts to written word, before even my most precious moments are only a fading image, vanishing when even those involved are no longer among us.
At first I thought maybe I would just try to preserve the moments in my life in some written form, but our every day life is of little interest to most other people. The moments that might seem special to us, are meaningless out of the context of our lives. So I decided, that instead of just writing about the events of my life, I would share the inner thoughts that continually creep into my mind throughout the day, thoughts that grow and expand in my wandering mind.
